How to get back on board?
I fell off the wagon badly with dieting last year and wound up gaining a lot of weight during my pregnancy. Now that I have had my daughter, I need to get this weight off plus what I already had to begin with. What's the best way for me to get going again? Tips?

I think you should set an official start date and work on clearing your house of junk food before then. Go to the grocery store before your start date and fill your cart with healthy foods. Plan out healthy meals and try to make everything as easy as possible -- cook ahead, freeze or refrigerate meals in individual servings, etc.

Thanks for the advice, Cathlete; I think I'll do that. I need to visit the grocery store today, so maybe I'll make Monday my official start date, clean out the cabinets and fridge, and then restock this afternoon.

How about trying to do your healthy eating for one day only, like tomorow, and see how you feel then.

For me I find having a target spurs me on. This year I have a big family wedding in May so I can't possibly not succeed. Have you a holiday or occassion coming up? Bedt of luck!

Thanks all. Befit, I like the idea of before and after pictures; I know I wouldn't like what I saw right now in the before pics so that would be a strong motivator in and of itself.
Mamafy, I don't think I have any occasions coming up soon, but I would like to be in significantly better shape going into the holidays at the end of this year. The family always takes a lot of pics then and I've been hating how I look in them lately.

Like this too Having an ambiguous start date makes it easy to cheat and put off until tomorrow. I'm a bit tight so don't like clearing out the junk + I have kids and don't mind them having a treat now and then, so got the missus to hide the crap tbh she did a bad job hiding but she knows what is in there and I can't get away with dipping in
Having a food plan helps. Very easy finding you are out of sensible food on the day and reach for a frozen pizza or chips because you don't want to go to the shops. Doing a weeks shop really does help + do it when you aren't hungry. Hungry shopping is the worst, you end up with all sorts of things sneaking into the trolly
