Avocado
Another curious post and wondering how many syns for avocados on the Slimming World plan?
Mainly curious on this one with it being good fats and my usual baffle that certain high carb foods are free.

It's 9.5 syns per 100 grams. I have just weighed half a one I have in the fridge (I removed the stone) and it weighs 90 grams so that means about 9 syns for the half I have here?
I agree about the high carb thing and would much rather take my chances and eat half an avocado than pile a plate high with pasta or rice.

It's one reason why I moved away from SW and switched to clean eating instead.

Yes, it does seem crazy Wobbles. I know which of the options there I would prefer. The avocado is SO much better for you.
Alicat: I only joined to give myself the challenge. It could have been any type of slimming club, I just wanted the discipline too of being weighed by a stranger each week. That said, I have loved the class I attend and met some great people but as far as the food thing goes, I have always known how to cook and how to eat properly ... just didn't bother doing it or actually did it but then tagged on stuff I knew I shouldn't be eating such as Chinese take-aways a few times a week, crisps, Lucozade etc.

I'm the same, I needed the discipline, which is why I've gone back to it for a few weeks to get back on target. I feel quite clued up on nutrition etc but just choose junk too often!

I just keep this mantra going in my head when I get tempted AliCat: NOTHING tastes as good as getting/being slimmer feels. It kinda works. Well, most of the time.
