Not sure what the yes refers to, but if it's to the protein and fruit/veg, then that's a good start.
By generally reducing how much chocolate/crisps/fatty foods you eat, it can help towards losing weight.
I would do some research on some weight loss plans and see which one might suit you best. I'm not saying you should join something, but do a little research and see what kind of plan may be best suited to you and your habits.
I personally follow Slimming World and that has always worked for me, but there are a few people on here who follow a clean eating plan that they enjoy and it works for them. As the saying goes, everyone is different, and our bodies react in different ways to the plans available.
A couple of tips I will give you though, make sure you drink plenty of water. 2 litres a day at least.
Also, don't cut out the 'bad' foods completely. Your body needs some fats to survive, and it helps your body process all the food you eat. Just have things sparingly. If your weakness is chocolate, buy the snack size packs and allow yourself one a day when you want one.
If you drink alcohol, switch from beer/wine to spirits and a diet mixer. Wine is awful for weight loss, which really stinks because I love wine
Make sure you measure out portions of rice and pasta, and potatoes. I use the recommended portions on the sides of the packets. Too much of these can hinder losses, plus I know I feel so bloated when I eat too much of them. I try to only have one of them a day, so if I have rice for lunch, I avoid potatoes and pasta for my tea. I at least don't feel like I've got a balloon stuck up my top
