There's no such thing as a normal weight loss. Every person is different. The most I've ever lost in a week was 4lb in 5 years of SW and that wasn't my first week.
It can range from 0.5lb to 11lb (yes I've known someone to have an 11lb loss their first week!)
It varies with each person based on their previous eating habits, metabolism, what they've eaten, how much they weigh to start with, how tall they are, what time of the month it is (and for women this can make a difference to losses)
As for the bloated-ness, I think everyone gets that initially (I know I did) but that doesn't mean you've not lost any weight x
