Once a week at the same time of the day is good enough. Your gonna go insane doing that. Have a drink gain a lb, go to the bathroom, loose a lb. I know someone that does that with a blood pressure monitor too. Focus on the goal & the process. & don't listen to Dr Oz. Went to his show a few weeks ago. He's just an actor plain & simple. Cameras on, he's what you always see. Cameras off, he won't even chat with the audience that made him what he is. Phoney baloney. GL with your goals...

I have been morbidly obese for many years and have an over eating disorder, the constant weighing helps me to stay in control :-).

I have scales in two bathrooms at home. I pretty much step on them every time I'm in there. Sometimes I do a before and after using the toilet weigh also. I try to just do a morning weigh though as I know thats the most accurate, except when I am on night shift.
I try to refrain from stepping on the scales at work as I know in my scrubs and work shoes I will not like the number, but sometimes I can't help it.

Fluctuations in hydration can make you think you've gained weight if you weigh yourself too frequently. This can demotivate so I tend to avoid weighing myself more than once a week.

I used to do it in the morning and before bed for nearly a year, I even kept a journal and recorded. I watched like that what food bloated me and what food to choose to look leaner. I reduced my salt intake after this. Now I mostly weigh myself daily, I just fear if I don't do it for a while I will gain weight. It happened before and I hated myself for it.
