Hi!
I think I have some undiagnosed food sensitivities/intolerances/allergies so I'm partaking in an elimination diet. In the diet you eliminate all common food allergens plus any other suspected triggers for 3 weeks so the toxins flush out of your system entirely. Then, you reintroduce one allergen at a time, testing your reaction. If it makes you sick, you continue omitting that food from your diet - probably permanently.
I don't want to keep repeating the 3 week cleanse + testing period thing so I intend to be pretty restrictive but I don't know if I'm thinking about cutting out too much in one go:
Caffeine
Dairy (I'm intolerant)
FODMAPS
Gluten (I'm allergic)
Goitrogens
High Lectin Foods
Legumes
Meat & Seafood (I'm a vegetarian for moral reasons so nothing of this sort has been part of my diet for awhile)
Nightshades
Nuts & Seeds
Soy
Sugar
So, for the 3 week period I could only consume:
Carrots
Nori
Romaine Lettuce
Squash
+
Coconut Oil
Olive Oil
+
Himalayan Sea Salt
+
Water
+
Vitamin D Supplement
...and I'm just not sure that's enough to healthily sustain a person - even for just that amount of time. If not, I need to do more than one cycle
What do you guys think? Any two cents appreciated!
