If only I had that "problem". Dieting usually leaves me feeling hungry. You can only stretch a calorie so far.
I would wager a guess and say that maybe you are feeling more satisfied by what you are eating because you are eating things that take longer to digest.
Jeans has a point there Poppy. Your body must finally be getting the nutrients it needs. I go through the same "lack of appetite" when dieting. Problem is I eat anyway. Now if I could just not eat during those times, I'd be better off.
It happened to me around this time last year, my appetite just completely vanished! It got to the stage where my OH would arrive home with takeaway and make me eat it cos he was so worried! I just had no interest in food! It still happens now, especially if I'm busy - I'd never understood how people could forget to eat, but I do it all the time now!
There's definitely truth in your body wanting less food if you're eating healthily though, it knows when you've had enough of everything! I know people who eat raw diets that eat tiny portions cos they have a better intake of vitamins and whatnot!
I feel like my stomach is punishing me for taking away the things it used to enjoy. Nothing appeals at all.
Previously, I was eating way too many proteins and carbs. I cut back on each, and started eating more veggies and fruit instead. Maybe my appetite needs time to adjust?
I would say when I was full on it after a while it became easier... my body got used to me not throwing crap into it and I was satisfied on my healthy choices and smaller portions
