Slow cookers
What kind of things do you like making in yours?
We got a slow cooker months ago but have never used it yet. Today I'm going to give it a go making beef casserole. I've become so adventurous lately!

Roast, spaghetti, chicken are the main ones. You will soon learn to love it. There is nothing like getting everything ready, dumping it in and just letting it do the work for you. It took me a long time to learn to love mine too, I actually had mine for a few years before I started to use it.

Taco meat, chili, barbecue, beef tips, and curry are favorites in my house. Nothing quite like the tender, fall-off-the-bone meat you get from using a slow cooker!

Last week, I had to make dinner for my roommates. So I took 6 boneless pork loin chops and made my own spice rub for them. I let them sit in the crock pot for 4 hours. They were literally falling apart when I touched them with a plastic spoon. I made black beans and yellow rice for a side dish and it was like jerk spiced pork.
You really can't go wrong with a slow cooker. I am doing turkey chili with no beans next week!

I couldn't live without my slow cooker I cook in mine several times a week. I make roast, pork, chili, beans, enchiladas, lasagna, and a ton of soups and casseroles.

Curries and chilli a lot because it really bring out the spices/flavour. Soups, stews and bolognese also get done in the slow cooker

Stews...casseroles...bolognese..mince with carrots...gammon but my firm favourite is to slow cook roast beef the day before I use it and put it in the fridge. Slice it and sprinkle water on.it and cover with foil on a tray to reheat. It will be the best beef you will ever have! X

When you have that fall-off-the-bone meat nothing gets better. This is how I cook all of our taco meats each week. I almost wish I had took pots going at once on some days because I swear on taco night everyone's appetite seems to double.
