Counting calories without counting
I understand that if I control my calorie intake, it will be easier to lose weight. Unfortunately, I find it difficult to keep track of my calories. The foods I eat are not always listed the exact same way in some of the calorie counting apps. I also think it is too time consuming. Is there any easier way to estimate calories?

Yep!!! I've written about this, using a simplified counting approach to count protein, fat and carbs without calories. It gets you quite close to your daily calorie needs, and requires a pair of electronic scales for some foods, you don't count leafy veggies and broccoli and that type of thing.

I also faced with this problem when was trying to count calories! It is rather hard when it comes to meals like soup, salad with many ingredients and other! many components in a meal - and i was puzzled like a pupil on a math exam;-))

Thanks a lot Stephen. I will check out the links. I really need all the help I can get. I know the theory behind losing weight. I just need a practical approach.

I simply aim to eat healthier with less sugar, dairy and certain carbs but certainly not without. I know if I indulge in lots of sugar in tea, cakes, biscuits and overly portioned on things like potatoes and pasta I know I'm going to far. I try to use mfp but sometimes it's just a faff and I forget or can't be bothered

I too faced with the same problem on counting my calories intake. I became so weak day by day and recently started using Simply easy diet app. It actually helped me to maintain my calories intake. Have any of you tried it?

Without tracking calories, it is undoubtedly feasible to reach a calorie deficit. Your calorie intake and expenditure are both under your control. Simply begin by trying a small amount from each side, and then chart and monitor your development.
